Volunteers...

We couldn't survive without our fantastic volunteers, but we always need more. We're looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.

The Citizens Advice Bureau Adviser training is a nationally recognised course and is greatly respected in all areas of employment and in education. It not only looks amazing on your CV but it helps to expand your knowledge base, teaches you team working, peer support, listening skills, face to face client work and it also builds your confidence - all this while helping members of your community.

The working environment at Sedgefield Citizens Advice Bureau is very sociable; you will be able to mix with likeminded individuals, we hold several social events a year and everyone here is positive, friendly and very supportive.

Volunteering isn't just about being an adviser, we have a number of roles where people can bring their skills and develop new ones:

  • Adviser
  • Admin
  • Gateway Assessor
  • Information Guides
  • Reception
  • Publicity
  • Fundraising
  • Events Coordinator
  • Trustee

We are currently in need of a new treasurer to join our trustee board

If you are interested in any of the above roles please contact Bess Robertson, our trainer, for an informal chat on 01388 825409
