Additional projects include Sure Start funded advice and a Health Advice Service where clients are seen in GP surgeries and are referred into this service via health professionals.

In addition to generalist advice, we also provide specialist level advice in debt and welfare benefits and housing and via the Money Advice Service

The bureau first opened in 1959 when people's problems were a little different. It took ten years to fill the first day book (a register of clients' cases). Nowadays we deal with over 8000 enquiries a year!
