Welcome...The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) Service is a network of bureaux throughout the British Isles. Each CAB is a voluntary organisation and an independent charity. We help you sort out your money, legal and other problems by giving you free information, advice and assistance on a wide range of subjects such as welfare benefits, debt, relationships, consumer, housing, education and financial services. Sedgefield & District Citizens Advice Bureau aims to ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, or of the lack of knowledge of services available, or through an inability to express their needs effectively. Advice provided by the Citizens Advice service is free, independent, confidential, and impartial, and available to everyone regardless of race, sex, disability, sexuality or nationality. Sedgefield & District CAB will help and respond to all enquiries in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner ensuring that every person seeking help is treated with respect and dignity. In addition to giving advice, we also monitor and learn from the experiences of our clients in order to fight against injustice and influence policymakers both locally and nationally to prevent problems arising in the first place.
